Abstract In this study we investigate the nonlinear chaotic dynamics of structures, consisting of three contacting isotropic Euler‐Bernoulli beams under alternating transverse load. The beams are connected to each other via weak contact conditions. Geometric as well as physical nonlinearity and contact interaction between the beams are taken into account. A new method was proposed for the analysis of chaotic phase synchronization for the multilayered construction consisting of three titanium beams by using Morlet wavelets.
