Aim of this project is to provide a physical motivated tire model in state space description for the car indoor noise simulation. The basis is a very detailed and validated finite element model of a reference tire, originally developed for outdoor noise radiation simulation, [1]. This contribution focuses on the structure born noise pathway in the frequency domain up to 200 Hz. The modeling approach is based on the assumption that a broad class of passenger car tires can be fitted with one finite element model, because the structural modes appear in principle identical in this frequency range.
