This paper develops an approach to solving one‐dimensional elasticity and thermoelasticity problems for the case of inhomogeneous orthotropic cylindrical bodies. It is based on direct integration of differential equilibrium and compatibility equations in terms of stresses and reduction to the system of integral equations, which are effectively solved by the rapidly convergent iteration procedure.
