This contribution deals with the temporal regularity of energetic solutions of rate‐independent processes describing the partial, isotropic damage of physically nonlinearly elastic solids. In general, energetic solutions may have jumps. Here we discuss settings that lead to continuity, Hölder‐ or Lipschitz‐continuity in time and we give examples on suitable energy densities.
