We present a new method for measuring the lift forces acting on an airfoil segment under dynamic stall conditions. Thereby the pressure distribution over the wind tunnel walls is detected by an adequate number of pressure sensors. The airfoil is rotated by a stepping motor with angular velocities up to 300°/ s . Measurements with Reynolds number up to Re = 700 000 can be performed. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
