We consider in this paper a combination between the evolutionary algorithm Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and the ART Kaczmarz procedure. For the new hybrid algorithm so obtained some results ilustrating its efficiency are presented for consistent least‐squares formulation of an image reconstruction problem.
