The paper presents a mathematical and numerical investigation of the 3D–flow in the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) over complex relief. The two–equation k ‐ ε model is applied to account for the turbulence. The flow is also supposed to be viscous, incompressible and stationary. The boundary conditions are realized through the wall‐functions. (© 2005 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
