Electron impact ionization mass spectra of 2‐acyloxy‐4,6‐dimethoxy‐1,3,5‐triazines were examined. Two general pathways of fragmentation were found: (i) formation of an acylium ion typical for all the compounds studied, and (ii) rearrangement followed by loss of carbon monoxide, characteristic of derivatives of aromatic carboxylic acids.
