It is shown that fragmentation under electron impact of binuclear crown ethers is similar to those for crown ethers with the general formula 3 n ‐crown‐ n ‐ n except for the formation of fragment ions with mass numbers reflecting the ring sizes in binuclear crown ether molecules. The formation of these ions occurs with hydrogen atom migrations in CH…O interactions between atoms from different rings determined in the crystal state.
