The positional integrity of an 18 O label is partially lost in the molecular ion in the electron impact mass spectra of 4‐methylphenyl benzoate, 4‐methylphenyl 4‐nitrobenzoate and 4‐methylphenyl N,N ‐dimethylcarbamate.
