The electron‐impact induced fragmentation of 6‐chloro‐6 H ‐dibenz[ c , e ] [1,2]oxaphosphorine‐6‐sulphide and its 6‐ethoxy and 6‐hydroxy derivatives has been studied and it has been found that formation of the dibenz[ c , e ] [1,2]oxaphosphorin system and elimination of HCP are common features. β‐Hydrogen rearrangement, in the case of the ethoxy derivative, is comparable to ethers with a POCH 2 CH 3 linkage.
