Although 1,4‐bis(cyclopentadienyliron dicarbonyl)‐tetrafluorobenzene fragments under electron‐impact, losing four CO groups stepwise prior to other observed fragmentations, the corresponding 1,3‐derivative eliminate HF after loss of only two CO groups.
