The mass spectra of twelve mono‐, di‐ and tri‐methyl substituted histamines are reported and discussed. It is shown that the position(s) of substitution may be deduced from a study of the fragmentation pattern, relative intensity and metastable ions allowing unambiguous identification of structure.
