Abstract The mass spectra of 1‐, 2‐ and 3‐hydroxyquinolizidine have been determined. In all cases the elimination of an hydroxyl radical is a more favoured process than the elimination of water. This has been substantiated by specific deuterium labelling. The fragmentation patterns of the three isomers allow for each compound to be identified specifically.
