Recent publications 1,2 concerning the mechanism for the electron‐impact induced loss of carbon monoxide from the molecular ion of thionylaniline have led to an examination of thionylaniline‐1‐ 13 C. The results show that the C‐1 carbon atom is not lost in this process, but only suggest the loss of the C‐2 carbon atom.
