Being one of the few students at Ramapo College of New Jersey who graduated a year early, Monica Moir made plans to start her graduate school career earlier than most. She graduated with her degree in political science and then enrolled in the public policy program at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., but the journey she made to come to her choice was not an easy one.
