Shauna Robinson earned her bachelor's degree in literature from the University of California, Berkeley, which helped her in her first career after graduation in publishing but proved less helpful when she moved into her position as a junior research analyst at the Association for Talent Development. So Robinson decided to return to school, this time to earn a master's degree in data analysis. To prepare, she took an online statistics course at Northern Virginia Community College. “Being an English major, I hadn't taken statistics before, and I thought it would be useful for both my research role and to help prepare me for grad school,” Robinson said.
