Chatbots — a website‐specific instant messaging tool — have been a popular customer service and lead‐conversion tool in e‐commerce for some time now, helping shoppers complete transactions and, perhaps, increasing order size. Higher education, an industry known for low conversion rates, can take a cue from the success online stores have had with this medium.
