BOSTON — Of the 3.6 million students who entered college or university during the fall of 2008, more than 37 percent transferred at least once during the next six years. That statistic came from a presentation at the annual National Association for College Admission Counseling national conference, during a presentation by Patricia A. Shea, director of academic leadership initiatives at the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education; Judy Hay, vice president of student services at Laramie County Community College; and Jody Owen, academic advisor coordinator at South Dakota State University.
