A computer program for the in‐core solution of large, sparse, unsymmetric systems of linear equations is presented in this paper. The program employs elimination techniques for solution of systems of linear equations. A limited number of zeros is stored and trivial arithmetic is by‐passed to preserve computer storage and to reduce the time required for solution. Several techniques for selecting the pivotal elements are discussed and their effect on accuracy and computational time are examined.
