2003 Glover‐Klingman prize winners

We are proud to announce the winners of the inaugural Glover-Klingman Prize for the best article published in Networks in 2003. First, a few words about the process. There were 45 articles published in 2003. Based upon input from our editorial board, approximately 10 articles were nominated as serious contenders. The final selection was made by the two of us, after numerous consultations with Associate Editors, Advisory Editors, and outside experts. The winning article, “Improved Preprocessing, Labeling, and Scaling Algorithms for the Weight Constrained Shortest Path Problem,” appeared in October 2003. The authors, Irina Dumitrescu and Natashia Boland, are to be heartily congratulated for their well-executed contribution to the literature. Each author will receive a cash award and a certificate with a citation (prepared by an Associate Editor) that reads as follows:
