Nonprofits make limited progress in regaining lost jobs since start of pandemic

New data from the Center for Civil Society Studies at Johns Hopkins University shows that the U.S. nonprofit sector gained an estimated 63,192 jobs in May 2021. But despite that strong growth, the sector is still down nearly 800,000 jobs when compared with job levels right before the COVID‐19 pandemic struck in March 2020.
