New research from OneCause, a provider of online giving and event fundraising services, finds that social giving—defined as when individuals give to charity through fundraising events and peer‐to‐peer campaigns—actually saw an increase in 2020, even with the social distancing restrictions that nonprofits had to put in place because of the pandemic.
