New research released by the Building Movement Project shows that women of color in the nonprofit sector face an uphill battle when trying to move up the ladder in their organizations. When it comes to promotions or being hired into roles on the board or in executive leadership, women of color are passed up more often than white men or men of color, as well as their white female counterparts.
