The number of Americans donating to disaster relief in the waning months of the year has decreased about 18 percent from 2017, despite the fact that 2018 is likely to surpass 2017 in regard to major disaster events—those with losses exceeding $1 billion—according to a new study from global consulting firm Ketchum.
