Grantmaking foundations of all types have an interest in helping their grantees better serve their constituents, and evidence continues to mount that having a diverse organization—in terms of leadership, staff and board—goes a long way in that regard. Yet, foundation funders are lagging behind when it comes to allocating resources and supporting diversity‐related initiatives within the organizations they fund.
