Abstract Fifty‐eight females with clinical stress or stress and urge incontinence were evaluated urodynamically and treated surgically. Forty‐six females (group A) presented with a stable detrusor or low‐pressure instability (below 25 cm of water), and 12 (group B) had high‐pressure instability (above 25 cm of water). Overall surgical results were worse in group B. Analyzing the urodynamic and surgical results, detrusor pressure recording may have surgical predictive value.
