It is shown that the results obtained by D. M. Doddrell, G. J. Galloway, S. E. Rose, P. J. Moulds, and I. M. Brereton ( Magn. Reson. Med. 19 , 1991) using self‐refocusing 270° Gaussian pulses for slice selection are consistent with our predictions ( Magn. Reson. Med. 10 , 273, 1989). © 1991 Academic Press, Inc.
