Tektins are primarily filamentous constitutions of sperm flagella, but also reside in the sperm head. Tsukamoto et al. (this issue) discover how sperm head‐associated Tektin3 behaves during the capacitation and activation process in bull spermatozoa. Here, staining of the nuclei (blue) and acrosome (green, labeled with peanut agglutinin) defi nes the localization of Tektin 3 (red) in the post‐acrosomal region of heads in unactivated bull spermatozoa .
