Multi‐potent stem cells from adults have great clinical potential for therapeutic cell or tissue‐replacement applications. The differentiation of isolated porcine endometrial mesenchymal stem cells is one possible stem‐cell source for women. Indeed, Bodek et al. (this issue) demonstrated the multi‐potentiality of this population of cells, which is shown here: Sulphonated proteoglycans, characteristic of chondrocytes, were observed with 1% alcian blue staining a culture of differentiated endometrial stem cells.
