The study of the 1 H and 13 C resonance spectra of a series of 13 photochromic pyranocarbazoles was carried out using two‐dimensional methods. 1 H and 13 C resonances were deduced from the concerted application of HSQC, HMBC and DEPT experiments. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
