Exposure of solutions of s‐triazine in a trichlorofluoromethane matrix at 77 K to γ‐radiation resulted in the formation of s‐triazinyl radicals by deprotonation of the primary radical cations. The results indicate that neutral s‐triazine molecules dissolve in an associated state in the Freon solvent. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
