Hexyn‐1‐yl silver shows broad signals in 1 H, 13 C and 109 Ag NMR. In the presence of 1 equiv. of triphenylphosphane, the signals are much sharper and at low temperature 109 Ag, 31 P and 107 Ag, 31 P coupling can be observed. On 109 Ag decoupling, the 31 P spectrum still shows the 107 Ag, 31 P coupling indicating the formation of a coordination complex. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
