The 1 H, 13 C, 15 N and 19 F NMR spectra of nine DL ‐phenylalcoholamides bearing fluorine and chlorine as substituents of the phenyl ring are reported. All of them are active as anticonvulsants in pentylenetetrazole‐induced seizures. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
