Carbon‐13 chemical shifts and 2 J (POC), 3 J (POCC), 2 J (PNC) and 3 J (PNC) coupling constants of 30 compounds containing the amine moiety, with the general formula Y 2 PNRR' (Y C 6 H 5 , CH 3 O, CH 3 CH 2 O, CH 2 O; Y 2 1,2‐dioxybenzene) have been determined. J (PNC) values have been used to explain the preferred conformation around the PN bond. A comparison between 2 J (PNC) and 2 J (PNH) was accomplished.
