The diastereomeric differences (Δδ) were measured for a series of 11 (−)‐ω‐camphanic esters of secondary alcohols of known absolute configuration, using 1 H NMR spectroscopy with Eu(fod) 3 as shift reagent. This method is convenient and useful for the measurement of enantiomeric compositions, whereas additional assumptions must be applied in determining the absolute configuration related to the signs of the diastereomeric differences.
