Zero‐field‐splitting of some aromatic charge‐transfer complexes in their lowest excited triplet states—an ESR study

The ESR spectra of some aromatic charge‐transfer complexes in the lowest excited triplet states were measured. From the extracted zero‐field‐splitting parameters it was found that in each case the lowest excited triplet state was localized on the donor, with a variable contribution of charge‐transfer configuration.
