The 1 J ( 13 C, 199 Hg) spin–spin coupling constants have been studied for dibenzylmercury in various solvents. A linear correlation was found between 1 J ( 13 C, 199 Hg) and the 2 J ( 1 H, C, 199 Hg) constants obtained earlier for the same solutions.
