13 C n.m.r. chemical shifts and one bond 13 C, 1 H coupling constants for cyclopropene and its 1‐ and 3‐methyl derivatives as well as for methyl cyclopropane have been measured. The data for cyclopropene are 108·9 ppm and 228·2 Hz, 2·3 ppm and 167·0 Hz in the olefinic and allylic position, respectively. Substituent effects for the methyl group are discussed.
