The 1 H n.m.r. spectra of eleven anilides of 6‐methyl‐picolinic acid N ‐oxide in chloroform were obtained. The influence of temperature, concentration and substituents on the chemical shifts of the NH protons was investigated. The structure of the anilides is discussed.
