All 13 C— 13 C splittings involving the C‐4 carbon of 4‐propyl‐3‐heptene and the C‐1 carbon of 1‐methylcyclohexene were determined from the appropriately labeled (> 90%‐ 13 C) derivatives. The observed trends in coupling constants continue to offer additional means of carbon chemical shift assignments and to provide mechanistic information regarding the nature of long range carbon—carbon coupling.
