The extracellular rhamnolipids α‐L‐rhamnopyranosyl ‐ 3‐ hydroxydecanoyl ‐3‐ hydroxydecanoate and α‐L‐ rhamnopyranosyl‐(1 → 2)‐αL‐ rhamnopyranosyl ‐ 3 ‐ hydroxydecanoyl ‐ 3 ‐ hydroxydecanoate were isolated from the culture broth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa grown under growth‐limiting conditions. Proton NMR spectra of these rhamnolipids were characterized.
