The 13 C and 1 H NMR spectra of azithromycin in D 2 O and DMSO‐ d 6 have been unambiguously assigned using a range of 1 and 2D NMR methods. Similarities to the spectra of azithromycin in CDCl 3 and of erythromycin A ketone in the same solvents are discussed.
