A method is proposed which allows a simple Pake doublet due only to the directly bonded CH pair to be obtained by measuring the local field at the position adjacent to a 13 C nucleus under proton homonuclear decoupling. This approach allows precise determination of the CH distance even in compounds with high proton density.
