The positions of conformational equilibria in a variety of 5,5‐disubstituted 1,3‐dioxans have been established by low‐temperature 1 H and 13 C NMR spectroscopy and by reference to the NMR spectra of anancomeric 2,5,5‐trisubstituted derivatives.
