Erroneous assignments of configuration around CC double bonds

NMR studies on trans ‐1‐trimethylsilyl‐1,2‐dibromoethene and cis ‐secondary sulphinyl enamines were recently reported. However, it is shown that the assignment of the configuration should be reversed in both instances, i.e. the configuration of 1‐trimethylsilyl‐1,2‐dibromoethene should be cis and that of secondary β‐sulphinyl enamines should be trans. .
