Variable‐temperature phase‐sensitive cross‐polarization/magic angle spinning magnetization transfer experiments in one and two dimensions, in conjunction with chemical shift line‐shape analyses, have been used in the quantitative characterization of slow aromatic ring dynamics in crystalline 4‐nitro‐1‐methoxybenzene and in crystalline penicillin G phenyl ester. The results obtained indicate the value of such approaches for investigating specific motional events in molecular solids.
