Technical details are given for the successful operation of CRAMPS techniques to obtain high‐resolution proton NMR spectra of solids. Matters addressed include probe construction, tunning procedures, optimization of pulses, spectral calibration and referencing. In practice, the MREV‐8 sequences is preferred to BR‐24. It is suggested that CRAMPS operation deserves more widespread application.
