The 13 C NMR spectral data of fourteen phorbol derivatives, which are commercially available or which were extracted from the seed oil of Croton tiglium L. (Euphorbiaceae), and of six common acyl substituents of naturally occurring phorbol esters were recorded and the signals assigned. The spectral data for this series of model compounds appeared to be important tools for the identification and the structure elucidation of naturally occurring and semi‐synthetic diterpene esters related to phorbol.
