1 H NMR chemical shifts of thirteen D‐homo‐5α‐androstan‐17a‐ones have been determined by decoupling difference techniques. Shift changes, primarily of the H‐8, H‐9 and H‐14 protons, produced by the introduction of hydroxy groups in the steroid have been shown to be of diagnostic importance.
